Employee Assistance Network located in Asheville, NC has an opening for a Counselor/Consultant. This position will provide a range of services including face to face assessment, short term solution focused counseling, case management, crisis counseling, utilization management, training and presentation skills and consultation with managers. This position is based in our Asheville office but may require weekly travel to our Hendersonville, Waynesville or Sylva office and day travel to other locations in Western North Carolina as necessary. This position also requires the ability to work remotely. Experience in making workplace presentations and Account Management is preferred. The successful candidate must present in a professional manner with excellent social and relationship building skills. Minimum requirements are a Master’s degree in a mental health discipline and licensed in North Carolina as an LPC/LCMHC, LMFT or LCSW. CEAP preferred but not required. Priority will be given to bilingual and diverse candidates.

EAP Clinician

Overall responsibility and qualifications:
The EAP Clinician will have at least a master’s degree and a clinical license in the state of North Carolina (e.g., LMFT, LCMHC, LCSW). Applicants with associate level licenses and at least 3 years’ post-graduate experience will be considered. EAP experience and/or CEAP/LEAP preferred. The EAP Clinician must have experience in customer service activities such as, but not limited to, answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, and phone-based customer service. In addition, the EAP Clinician must demonstrate clinical skills such as, but not limited to, brief therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy. The EAP Clinician must be willing to be familiar with or be trained on Outlook calendar, EAP software, PowerPoint.

The EAP Clinician must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with professionalism and sensitivity over the phone and within the office setting. The office is a team-oriented environment. EAP Clinician must be comfortable working with others, friendly, positive, multi-task, organized, adaptable, and manage well under stressful situations. Additional skills must include detail oriented, thorough documentation, knowledge in code of ethics, and mandatory reporting.

Work schedule:
As needed: The expectation is that the hours may vary to meet the needs of the client companies and to cover the duties of the position.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Assess client needs and link them to providers or community resources
  • Document case activity
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients and providers
  • Assist with maintenance of provider network, such as developing new partnerships and educating providers on EAP services
  • Communicate via phone and email
  • Provide excellent customer service

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Support and assist in the daily operations
  • Maintain detailed case notes
  • Comply with HIPAA procedures
  • Coordinate, develop, and present EAP trainings and orientations, as requested

Qualifications Requirements

  • Master’s or doctorate degree
  • 5+ years’ post-graduate experience in a mental health field
  • Full clinical licensure in the state of North Carolina

Preferences

  • Comfortable working with a team
  • Organized and able to multi-task and manage well under stressful situations
  • Customer service experience including phone-based
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn EAP software
  • EAP experience and CEAP/LEAP licensure
  • Training in critical incident response

Behavioral Health / Integrated Care / Out-patient Therapist

LifeWorks / Brian S Hissom & Associates, PLLC is seeking well qualified candidates to provide integrated care behavioral health services in area primary care clinics and out-patient counseling in our Hickory and / or Morganton, NC offices. Our practice provides behavioral health services for a variety of medical clinics and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). We also provide traditional out-patient counseling in both locations and offer the opportunity of a blended schedule in both medical and traditional out-patient counseling environments.
