Our Presenter:
Jonathan W. Yarbrough is a partner in the law firm of Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP. The firm is dedicated to representing management exclusively in all aspects of the employment relationship. Mr. Yarbrough’s practice includes providing advice and counsel to employers on compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and wage and hour laws, in addition to other federal and state employment laws. Mr. Yarbrough is a frequent speaker on employment law topics and was a significant contributor to North Carolina Employment Law, a treatise on state employment law published by Lexis Law Publishing. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Yarbrough holds degrees from Wake Forest University and the University of Louisville School of Law.

EAP professionals are often meeting with referred employees due to employment issues. Sometimes the employee may be struggling with issues related to the ADA. Other times it may be performance issues. But regardless of the issue there is typically an underlying employment law component. This presentation is designed to provide EAP professionals with a basic understanding of employment law so that they can better serve their clients.

Thank you, Pavillon, for partnering with NC EAPA to deliver this training!
