2:30 – 4:00 pm – Introduction to Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) with Hillary Siedler, Ph.D., PC and Laney Rosenzweig, LMFT  This presentation will provide an overview of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) highlighting what makes it unique and valuable in an EAP setting.

2:30 – 4:00 pm – The Elephant in the Room: Understanding the Impact of Political Discussion in the Workplace with Dawn Klug, LCMHC, CEAP and Jim Stratton, LCMHC, CEAP  This session will address how the current political culture and workplace discussions impact employers and employees. It will also assist EA Professionals understand the factors that support healthy work dynamics as it relates to managing political stress and discussions in the workplace.

12:30 – 1:30 pm – Understanding and Preventing First Responder Suicide with Dena Ali, FF/MPA  This session will highlight the importance of proactive mental health services, as a means to combat the many mental health disorders that are common among first responders.

1:45 – 3:15 pm – First Responder Peer Support with Dena Ali, FF/MPA  This presentation will teach the components of a working peer support program.  History of the North Carolina Peer Support Team and then partnerships with other national leading peer support programs will be provided.
